Natalma M. (Tami) McKnew
Natalma M. (Tami) McKnew is a partner in the firm of Smith Moore Leatherwood, LLP in Greenville, South Carolina, and was the Managing Director of the predecessor firm of Leatherwood Walker Todd & Mann, P.C. from 1995-2001. Ms. McKnew received a B.A. degree from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1971, an M.A. degree from UCLA in 1973 and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1978. Ms. McKnew is a member of the South Carolina, Greenville County and American Bar Associations. She is also a member of the ABA Antitrust Section, the ABA Forum on Franchising (Governing Committee member), the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. She is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in South Carolina, the Fourth and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Ms. McKnew is a frequent Legal Seminar presenter and author on Franchising and Intellectual Property issues. She is very active in the community and is currently a board member of the Institute for Child Success (Chair), the United Way of Greenville County, SC Nature Conservancy, the Priester Foundation and the Advisory Board of Clement’s Kindness for Children. Ms. McKnew has been a member of the ALPS Board since May 2006.
