Mark Bassingthwaighte, Risk Manager
Mark Bassingthwaighte, Esq. is the Risk Manager with Attorneys
Liability Protection Society, Inc., a Risk Retention Group, in
Missoula, Montana. Currently Mark's responsibilities include
developing and delivering new risk management and CLE products and
services, risk management consulting, law firm risk evaluations,
maintaining the ALPS 411 blog and publishing the company's
e-newsletter, the ALPS Risk Management Report. In his tenure with
the company, Mark has conducted over 950 law firm risk management
assessment visits, presented numerous continuing legal education
seminars throughout the United States and written extensively on
risk management and technology.
Wendy Inge, Risk Manager
Wendy F. Inge, Esq. is the Risk Manager for the Virginia State
Bar and ALPS. She has been in the lawyer's professional malpractice
industry for over 18 years. Prior to coordinating risk management
services, she handled lawyers' legal malpractice claims for eight
years. She regularly lectures and writes about ethics issues,
malpractice prevention, and law office management for attorneys and
their paralegal staff. Ms. Inge presents in numerous states and has
been a frequent speaker for the American Bar Association's CLE
programming. On behalf of ALPS she also consults with individual
lawyers on ethical issues and practice management concerns. She is
a member of the Virginia State Bar and is on the Virginia State
Bar's Standing Committee on Legal Ethics. Ms. Inge is also a member
of the ABA's Practice Management Division, the Center for
Professional Responsibility and is on the Executive Committee for
the Law Practice Management Division of The Virginia Bar
Association. She received a law degree from the University of
Richmond School of Law and an undergraduate degree from Virginia
Tech.
Kiffin Hope, Social Media Community Manager
Kiffin Hope joined ALPS Corporation in 2011 as Social Media
Community Manager, having spent the previous fifteen years in
financial services and nonprofit fundraising. At The Vital Ground
Foundation, he built a strong social media presence that has
garnered the organization thousands of followers from around the
world on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other platforms. His work
with ALPS Educational Services includes promoting online learning
opportunities to the legal community through ALPS's various social
media channels and email campaigns; assisting with the
behind-the-scenes of new CLE production; and coordinating with our
online vendor with uploading CLE videos and program documents. He
